In May 2024, as part of a solo RPG book club on fedi we organized as @packbat@indiepocalypse.social, we played our second game of "Princess with a Cursed Sword" by Anna Anthropy. It was a good game, but afterwards, we found ourselves thinking about the characters more. How did the fight scene we skipped over go? Where did the protagonists go after that? What happened to get them to the point we see in the epilogue? How is the world responding to them? We wanted there to be more to their stories.

We can make no promises about how many of these questions we'll address or how far this will go, but that's this set of pages.

Stories So Far

• Princess with a Cursed Sword playthrough, 2024-05-12 (1921 words): in which a young woman confronts her privilege in mortal combat. Content warnings for class warfare; violence, injury, death, and blood; offscreen child murder and starvation; fantasy weirdness, including voluntary and involuntary transformation.
• The confession of Allen Bell, deserter, as recorded by the priest Bohrer (667 words): in which a lot of awful people die very quickly. Content warnings for casual racism, mentions of alcohol and looting, violent death, emeto.
• First introductions (255 words): in which princess and thief exchange names. Content warning for reference to offscreen death.
